Elizabeth Lovick moved to Orkney over 20 years ago and was immediately captivated by the rare breed North Ronaldsay sheep and their fibre. She began designing scarves, sweaters and hats in the yarn for sale locally, and produced her first collection of patterns in 1996. This book amplifies that collection, adding extra sizes to the original patterns and updating the language of the patterns for today's knitters.
The book also includes new patterns from Liz, and from Elly Doyle. Elly also works in Orkney and dyes the North Ronaldsay yearn under the name of Prim Peacock.
All the patterns can be used with other brands of yarn if you are not lucky enough to be able to buy the North Ronaldsay yarn.
