BROWN. – David William died peacefully at home in Birsay with his family around him on Thursday, 13th February, 2025, aged 78. Much-loved husband to the late Ann, dad, grandad, father-in-law, and brother.  Will be sadly missed by all.

HARCUS. – Peacefully at Daviot Care Home, Inverness, on 10th February, 2025, John Harcus, aged 75 years, late of Westray.  Beloved husband of Norah, much-loved brother of Iris, Eric, Alan and the late David, also a dear brother-in-law, uncle and cousin.  A service was held yesterday in Inverness.  Arrangements by John Fraser & Son of Chapel Street, Inverness.

PHILLIPS. – (Aberdeen).  Peacefully at ARI on Tuesday, 11th February, 2025, Madge (nee Stanger) formerly of Birsay, aged 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Ron, a much-loved mum, granny, mother-in-law, cousin and friend to many. A private funeral is being held at her own request. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Jemima (Ann), nee Elrick, aged 77 years, of Hillhead of Cairness, Rathen, formerly of Quean, Harray, and Millquoy Stenness, peacefully at ARI on Thursday, 13th February, 2025. Beloved and cherished wife of Arnot, dearly loved and loving mum of Mervyn, Arlene and Martin, dear mother-in-law of Merlisa, David and Elizabeth, very proud, devoted and adored granny to Callum, Jamie, Laura, Daniel, Erin, Kristine and Ethan, and a good friend to all who knew her. Funeral service from Alexander Buchan & Son Funeral Chapel, Fraserburgh, on Tuesday, 25th February, at 11am, followed by interment at Rathen Cemetery, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please, but donations may be given in lieu, if so desired, at the chapel door in aid of The Scottish Air Ambulance and the Stroke Unit at ARI. Very dearly and sadly missed. Forever remembered.
