GROUNDWATER. – Maurice Stanger, of Hall of Ireland, Stenness passed away at The Balfour on 4th April, 2026. A private cremation, by request, will be held at Aberdeen Crematorium.

Henry. – Roger. Peacefully at home following a short illness, on Wednesday, 8th April, 2026, Roger, beloved husband of Linda, much-loved dad of Stephanie, Jennifer and Matthew and
dear grandpa Roger of Clare, Neil, Adam, Jake, Dan, Calum, Lachie, Angus and Thomas.
Funeral service, to which all friends are respectfully invited, at Clyde Coast & Garnock Valley on Thursday, 23rd April, at 12noon. Family flowers only please, there will be a retiral collection for R.N.L.I.

JOHNSTON. – Francis David passed away very peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, 12th April. Much loved and will be sadly missed. Husband of Margaret, dad to Raema and Barry and grandad to David, Archie, Francis, Fredrik and Fergus.
LEONARD.
LEONARD. – Peacefully at The Balfour hospital on Tuesday, 14th April, 2026, Rosa Jane (nee Linklater), aged 93 years. Wife of the late Walter, beloved mother to Rosemary, Alison and the late Grant, mother-in-law to Sylvia, David and Ian, granny/nana to Bill, James, Abigail and Gareth, great-nana to Ethan. Sadly missed and fondly remembered. A good friend to many.

SCOLLIE. – Ella (nee Smith) aged 86, passed away at Daviot Care Home, Inverness, on 6th April, 2026. Dear wife of the late Len, beloved mum to Laura and Lorraine, granny to Erika, Kayleigh and Erin, sister to Bel, Robert, the late Molly, Jim and Gordon. Funeral will take place from John G Corse Funeral Home to St Olaf Cemetery, on Saturday, 25th April, at 11am.
SKINNER.
SKINNER. – Mrs Marjorie Skinner, formerly of Sandigoe, Stenness, passed away peacefully in The Cliftonville Care Home, Northampton, on 8th April, 2026. Her funeral will take place in Northampton on Friday, 24th April, 2026.
SULAT.
SULAT. – Susanna passed away at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee on 25th March, after a brief illness. Much-loved mother of Christopher and Thomas and a dear friend to many.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, 19th April, at Forbes of Kingennie Resort, Broughty Ferry, Dundee. Friends are warmly invited to attend. Please contact christopher.sulat@gmail.com

TURMEAU. – William Arthur, formerly of Victoria Street, Stromness, died at Hamnavoe House, Stromness on Thursday, 2nd April, 2026, aged 96. Beloved husband of the late Margaret and dear father of Rachel. He will be sadly missed.
