GILLON.
GILLON. – Peacefully in Caithness General Hospital on Saturday, 2nd May, 2026, Sheila, nee MacNaughton, aged 89 years. Wife of the late Bruce Gillon, Lower Toftingall, Watten, mother of Jim, Mairiead, Callum and Lynda, much-loved mother-in-law, nana, great-nana and great-great-nana. Funeral service within Ormlie Lodge Service Rooms, Thurso, on Wednesday, 27th May, service commencing at 2pm, to which all friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired may be given at the service in aid of Chest, Heart & Stroke. The committal service will take place in Perth Crematorium, on Friday, 29th May, commencing at 2.30pm.
GRAVES.
GRAVES. – Sue passed away in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on 22nd May, aged 75. Dearly missed by husband Malcolm, her family, and many friends. Remembered particularly by those who she taught and mentored in Orkney secondary schools and for her contributions to the local community in and around South Ronaldsay. Funeral to be held at St Peter’s Kirk, Eastside, South Ronaldsay, Tuesday, 2nd June, 1pm. Family flowers only please.
SEATTER.
SEATTER. – With great sadness the Seatter family announce the peaceful passing of Eleanor Seatter (Ella, nee Swanney) on 23rd May, age 89, at Hamnavoe House with family by her side. Beloved wife of Geordie (Doddie), devoted mum to George and Alma, mother-in-law to Calum, granny to Gary and David, sister to Wilma, special aunty and friend to many. A private service celebrating Eleanor’s life will be held on Saturday, 6th June, at John G Corse Funeral Home. No flowers, donations to Stromness Surgery.
