Death Notices

JONES. – (Craigievar, Aberdeenshire/Orkney). With deep sadness, we announce that our wonderful mum and devoted granny, Ruth Nettie Jones (nee Laughton) aged 71 years, slipit awa peacefully at home on Wednesday, 19th August, 2026. Following her wishes a private family funeral was held on Wednesday, 26th August, at the family home. She will be forever missed and held in the hearts of her children, grandkids, and all who knew and loved her.  A service to celebrate the lives of Ruth and our dad Maurice will be held at Mid Deeside Church Hall, Torphins, on Friday, 25th September, at 3pm. All family and friends are respectfully invited.

TAYLOR. – Frances (nee Shearer).  Peacefully, at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, on Thursday, 3rd  September, 2026, Franki, loving daughter of the late Jack and Evelyn Shearer, dearly loved mother of Jim and David and a much-loved mother-in-law, gran, great-gran, sister and aunt who will be sorely missed by all. A private funeral service will be held in Paisley in the coming weeks.
