The Orcadian Parish Cup returns

The 2017 The Orcadian Parish Cup will get underway tomorrow afternoon, with two ties featuring two of the competition’s most successful sides.

Fourteen-time winners St Ola will take on South Ronaldsay in what looks set to be a closely fought affair, with St Ola experiencing some lean years since beating their opponents 2-1 in the 2014 final.

South Ronaldsay have never won the famed trophy despite reaching eight finals.

The match is set to kick-off at 3pm at the Bignold.

The evening kick-off at 7pm will see the competition’s most successful side, Sandwick, take on Holm, in Dounby.

The two sides last met two years ago, when Holm sent Sandwick crashing out at the first hurdle.
