Orkney drivers better than national average

Drivers in Orkney are some of the best in the UK, according to new analysis of driving test results.

Over 1.3 million driving tests were conducted in the UK, last year, with an average pass rate of just 48 percent. Orkney drivers, however, came out with an average of 70 percent pass rate. Overall, Scottish drivers were the best in the UK, with an average pass rate of 57 percent.

The analysis, of statistics provided by Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), was carried out by  car finance providers Moneybarn.
