Bird flu protection zone lifted

Special protection measures against avian flu have been lifted in the area surrounding a Tankerness premises.

A three-kilometre protection zone was put in place around an infected backyard flock in the parish on October 14.

A three-kilometre protection zone and ten-kilometre surveillance zone remains in place in Firth.
