‘Found’ takes top prize at drama festival

Stromness Drama Club (Hamnavoe) has taken first place overall at the final night of the SCDA Orkney District One-Act Drama Festival for their performance of  ‘Found’.

The announcement was made at the Orkney Arts theatre tonight, Friday, by visiting adjudicator, Walker Ewart, following the festival’s final two performances.

The John Godber penned ‘Found’ featured just two actors, Pete Tipler and Lorraine Giles, was directed by Graham Garson and had stage management from Michael McLaughlin.

Second place went to Palace Players (Bishops) with ‘Henna Night’ and third place went to Assiepattle Players for their performance of ‘The Night I Danced With Cyd Charisse’.
