Great British Food Awards win for Orkney Akvavit

Orkney Akvavit, from the Orkney Gin Company, has won a top award at the Great British Food Awards.

The awards are organised by the Great British Food company,  most known for the Great British Food Magazine.

TV presenter, wine expert, columnist and author, Olly Smith judged the spirits category and awarded Orkney Akvavit the overall winner for its exceptional taste.

Last year, the company’s Rhubarb Old Tom, judged by Great British Bake Off winner Martha Collison, also won at the awards.
