Guilty plea to knife point robbery

A 21-year-old man has admitted his part in stealing money and drugs in a knife point robbery which happened in Kirkwall earlier this year.

Appearing at Kirkwall Sheriff Court this morning, William Dennis Mills, who is currently being detained in Inverness Prison, had his sentence deferred until May 9 for reports and a risk assessment.

Mills pleaded guilty to, while acting along with another, assaulting a man, threatening him with violence, presenting knives to him, prodding him on the body with a knife, holding knives against his face and throat to his injury, and robbing him of £745 and a quantity of cannabis resin.

The incident took place on January 22 at an address in Kirkwall.
