Mainland show season kicks-off in the east

The first of Orkney’s mainland agricultural shows, the East Mainland Show, is due to take place in Toab today.

The event will showcase the best of the livestock in the area, with over 450 exhibits due to compete for the prizes amongst cattle, horse, sheep, poultry, goat and dog sections.

Horse judging begins at 9.00am with the other sections to begin at various points throughout the morning.

There will also be a range of other attractions present on the day, including the fun dog agility course.
