Northern Counties kicks off busy weekend of youth football

Another busy weekend of youth football is set to get under way at Picky, kicking off with the popular Northern Counties today.

The seven-a-side tournament — sponsored by Orkney Aggregates — is set to commence at 11am, and will see teams from Orkney, Shetland and Caithness participate against Under-12 sides from Scottish Premiership outfits Ross County and Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Picky will play host to more Under-12 football on Sunday, with Orkney and Shetland teams competing for the John Manson Trophy, before the weekend concludes with an Orkney/Shetland Under-12 Select side taking on their Inverness Caledonian Thistle counterparts.
