ORFC end season on a high

Orkney Rugby Club’s First XV ended their season on a high with a convincing 55-24 win over Hillfoots at Picky this afternoon.

Despite there being no score after 20 minutes, Orkney had secured a bonus point by half time, with the first half ending 29-5.

Orkney were reduced to 13 men for ten minutes not long after the restart, with two players yellow-carded following a brief but ill-tempered scrap.

But the hosts regained their composure and went on to claim a comfortable win, which sees them finish in a mid-table position in RBS Caledonia Regional League Division 1.
