Orkney College graduations

The efforts of hundreds of local students was recognised at the annual Orkney College UHI awards ceremony, held in St Magnus Cathedral this afternoon.

Guest of honour at the event was Ola Gorie founder, Ola Tait, who addressed the graduates before the presentation of certificates and special prizes.

The Orkney College Student of the Year 2012 Award, sponsored by The Orcadian, was presented to NC Hospitality graduate Becky Gibson.
