Orkney eyeing win in first home game of 2014

Orkney Rugby Club’s First XV are due to play their first home game of 2014 today.

Orkney take on Mackie Academy in the RBS Caledonia Regional League League Division 1 clash at Picky, with kick-off scheduled for the earlier than usual time of 10.30am.

The hosts will be looking to complete a league double over Mackie, after beating the Stonehaven side 39-32 on their own turf earlier in the season.

Third-placed Orkney could make it five consecutive league victories if they win today, with their next two fixtures against the top two sides, Perthshire and Dunfermline.
