Orkney FC targeting second final

Orkney Football Club will be aiming to line up their second cup final of the season, when they take on Golspie Sutherland in the semi-finals of the Football Times Cup this afternoon.

If they beat Sutherland in today’s game — due to kick-off in Golspie at 12.30pm — Orkney would face either Thurso FC or Halkirk United in the final.

Orkney lost to Golspie in the final of the same competition last year, in what was their maiden season playing under the North Caledonian League banner.

Orkney already have one cup final appearance to look forward to this season — they will take on Golspie, again, in the final of the Jock Mackay Memorial Trophy.
