Orkney win rugby sevens

Orkney won the rugby sevens at a rain-drenched Pickaquoy this afternoon.

The home side ran away with the final, beating Caithness 31-0 with tries from William Thomson (2), Marcus Guthrie, and Chris Guthrie (2).

Veteran team Auld Bulls out-muscled Kirkwall 20-5 to win the plate final for the fourth consecutive year.

Winner of the Keith Hutchison Memorial Trophy for best Orkney player on the day was Philip Ross.
