Police report three businesses to procurator fiscal

Three licensed premises in Orkney are being reported to the procurator fiscal for allegedly selling alcohol to underage teens.

The three businesses, two in Kirkwall and one in the west mainland, failed a test purchasing operation held by police earlier this week.

The news follows three premises in Shetland being reported to the procurator fiscal last week for failing during a test purchasing operation there.

Police are reminding public house, off-sales, and nightclub owners they could face losing their licence if they are caught selling alcohol to anyone under 18.
