Problems with 999 calls in Orkney

Due to technical issues, residents in some areas of Orkney have been unable to make 999 emergency calls today.

However the issue which, Police Scotland reported had affected over 6,000 landlines in Kirkwall, Stromness, Sandwick and South Ronaldsay, has now been resolved.
