Scapa Flow diver taken to hospital

A diver who got into difficulties during a dive in Scapa Flow yesterday was transferred to the Balfour Hospital for treatment.

Shetland Coastguard said that the man had been diving from the local dive boat Radiant Queen, which was in a position close to the Houton ferry terminal at the time they were contacted, around 10.45 am.

The Radiant Queen was met at Houton by the Stromness Coastguard Rescue Team and an ambulance, and he was transferred to hospital.
