
Search launched for missing Papa Stronsay man
Emergency services have launched a search, after reports of a man going missing from Papa Stronsay.
HM Coastguard, the RNLI and Police Scotland have been involved in the operation, after being notified of the disappearance yesterday.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “A search, involving police and HM Coastguard, is underway on Papa Stronsay, Orkney, following a report of a man going missing on Sunday, 12 April 2025.”
Kirkwall RNLI volunteers launched the Roger and Joy Freeman on Sunday at 3.45pm to assist with the search.
