Seating added in for Proclaimers gig

The organisers of The Proclaimers gig in Orkney during County Show weekend have added in a section of tiered seating at the Pickaquoy Centre for anyone who does not wish to stand during the show.

Neil Stevenson said a number of requests for seating had prompted the move.

“We have had quite a few inquiries for seats so we made a decision to reconfigure things and add a section of tiered seating into the venue.

“Any ticket purchased can be used for either seating or standing, the seats are unreserved and there will be several hundred available so this will give folk the option to sit or stand during the show.”

He said that some dates on The Proclaimers Scottish tour had sold out, although there was still time for folk in the county to pick up a ticket for the Orkney gig on Friday, August 10.
