Top authors at Orkney Library for Book Week

Book Week Scotland kicks off on Monday and the Orkney Library and Archive will be joining in the celebrations by hosting three top author talks.

Bestselling novelist Val McDermid will discuss her latest thriller during a special talk on Thursday, November 29. Children’s writer Victoria Campbell will talk about her book Viking Gold on Friday, November 30, at 2pm and local writer Rosie Wallace will round off proceedings with an event on Saturday, December 1, at 3pm.

Tickets are sold out for Val McDermid’s visit but there are spaces left for the other two.

Initiated by the Scottish Government, Book Week Scotland is being delivered on behalf of Creative Scotland by Scottish Book Trust, the leading agency for the promotion of literature, reading and writing in Scotland.
