Waste pilot reminder

The Orkney Islands Council’s waste department is reminding people participating in the alternate weekly waste collection pilot to put their green bins, for recyclable items, out for collection tomorrow, Wednesday.

Members of the public in Holm and the south of Kirkwall have been praised by the OIC after a successful start to the pilot last week.

The OIC are urging anybody with any issues regarding the pilot to get in touch with the waste team at the council, after some initial, minor problems occurred with last week’s collection.
