West triumphant in Shopping Week football fixture

A senior West Select defeated their East opponents in the annual football clash between the two sides, played this evening. The result means that the West pick up the Brown Cup.

A second half goal from young Stromness forward Ross Slater saw the West win the tie which is played as part of the Stromness Shopping Week programme.

The Junior contest between the two sides is due to take place on Wednesday with the Juvenile game scheduled for Saturday.
