A fifth of Orkney bairns live in poverty

An additional 104 Orkney bairns are living in poverty compared to five years ago, new figures have revealed.

Orkney Islands Council has this week revealed plans to tackle this “growing concern” with a new dedicated multi-agency taskforce.
