Advice for postal voters

Orkney Islands Council is reminding postal voters that when they check that the numbers on their ballot papers and postal voting statements match up, as per instructions, it is only the last four numbers that they should concern themselves with.

The council says that due to a minor clerical error, some postal voting statements have an extra zero on them. This will, however, in no way affect the validity and integrity of the vote.
