Annette honoured at transport awards ceremony
Annette Robson, who sadly passed away last month, has been honoured at this year’s Scottish Transport Awards.
Annette, from Stromness, was a service manager for Serco NorthLink Ferries and described a “go-to” member of staff when it came to the Pentland Firth route, having spent the last 30 years in the business.
As a result, she was awarded the Lifetime Contribution to Transport in Scotland – a fitting accolade for her and her family.
Husband, Arthur, who attended the event in Glasgow to pick up the award, commented: “It was an absolute honour to take Annette’s award home and she would have been delighted to be recognised in this way.
“Annette was extremely well known in and around our community for her commitment to a job she loved and she will never be forgotten.”
