Conservative candidate for Northern Isles named
Donald Cameron has been selected as Scottish Conservative candidate to contest the Orkney and Shetland constituency at May’s General Election.
Mr Cameron, from Spean Bridge, in the Highlands, has, since 2005, has been an advocate acting for a range of clients in public law and in agricultural/crofting law in the Court of Session, High Court of Justiciary, Scottish Land Court, etc. He has appeared in litigation in Orkney and recently represented Sustainable Shetland as junior counsel in their appeal to the UK Supreme Court.
Commenting on his selection, Donald Cameron said: “I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to stand for Orkney and Shetland as Scottish Conservative candidate.
“I passionately believe that Scotland’s place is within the Union and I promise that, if elected, I will continue to campaign for Scotland to stay part of the United Kingdom.”
