Culture Fund open for bids

Organisations planning arts, heritage or language related events or activities in 2013-14 are being invited to bid for funding from Orkney Islands Council’s Culture Fund.

Karen Greaves, head of leisure and lifelong learning, said: “The Culture Fund pot which stands at £22,970 – subject to OIC budget approval in February- has just opened for 2013-14.

“We are delighted to be able to support so many organisations through this vital source of funds for the arts and heritage in Orkney.

“There are some great examples of how this pot of money has been used in previous years to support cultural events and activities.”

The deadline for applications is Thursday 17 January 2013. Applications forms and guidance can be obtained from glenda.munro@orkney.gov.uk
