Flotta unaffected by pipeline shutdown

The throughput of oil at the Flotta oil terminal has not been affected by the shutting down of various oilfields in the North Sea, Talisman have confirmed.

A  pipeline system servicing up to 27 oil fields has been shut down after a leak on the Cormorant Alpha platform, which is situated north-east of Shetland.

The leak at the rig was discovered on Monday, which resulted in non-essential crew being taken off the installation by helicopter.
