Sandwick v Holm Parish Cup Final

Sandwick will play Holm in this year’s The Orcadian Parish Cup Final.

Both Holm and Sandwick trailed 3-2 after the semi-final first legs but managed to turn things around in the second legs played today.

After going a goal down, Sandwick fought back to take their tie against St Ola to extra time, as they won 3-2 on the night. In extra time both teams scored once as things remained even. It was the West Mainland side who held their nerve in the penalty shootout though, to progress to the final.

Earlier in the day, Holm were the victors against South Ronaldsay sending them through to their second final in as many years.

After being 1-0 down at half-time they fought back, netting three times in the second half to win 3-1 on the day, and 5-4 on aggregate.
