Kirkwall man fined
A Kirkwall man has been fined £350, after he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner on Saturday.
Ian Andrew Davidson, 35, committed the offence at his home, 2 The Strynd, Kirkwall. However, it is understood that since the offence, Davidson is no longer residing at this address.
On Saturday, Davidson was remanded in custody for acting in a way likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer fear and alarm by repeatedly phoning a woman, repeatedly striking a door with a personal computer, pushing past the woman when the door was unlocked and removing bottles of perfume.
Sheriff Graeme Napier fined Davidson £500, but reduced this to £350 for the early plea of guilty, which was made when Davidson appeared from custody today.
