Local Artists’ Recital resurrected for end-of-season event

The final musical event of Orkney Arts Society’s season takes place in Stromness Town Hall this evening, Sunday.

The Local Artists’ Recital was once a regular feature of the society’s annual programme, and the event is to be re-established this year with a concert to be given by violinist Elizabeth Sullivan and mezzo soprano Anna Whelan, accompanied by pianists Caroline Robertson and Glenys Hughes.

The programme includes music by Handel, Bach, Brahms, Schumann and Bruch.

The concert begins at 7.30pm.
