Look out for your poll card
Poll cards will be arriving through Orkney letterboxes over the next couple of days for all those eligible to vote at the local government elections on May 3.
The poll card details where your polling station is and also how you can make arrangements for a postal vote. Cards will be sent to registered voters from around Friday March 23.
Albert Tait, Returning Officer for Orkney said: “If you don’t receive your poll card or have any queries about how to vote, then please contact the Election Office on 886350 or email electionoffice@orkney.gov.uk “
“While it’s not essential that voters bring it with them on polling day, having the poll card handy will make the process of voting quicker and more convenient.”
Enquiries relating to electoral registration and absent vote applications are dealt with by the Electoral Registration Office, 8 Broad Street, Kirkwall, Orkney, KW15 1NX. Contact on 01856 876222 or email ero@orkney.gov.uk
