Mini antiques roadshow coming to Orkney

A mini antiques roadshow is coming to Orkney this weekend, courtesy of a team from Mulberry Bank Auctions.

People are being asked to take their heirlooms or curiosities along to the Kirkwall Town Hall between 10am and 4pm on Saturday. (August 11)

Although usually based in the West End of Glasgow, the team are hoping to unearth some “forgotten island treasures”.

They will value everything from ceramics, jewellery, collectables and furniture to whisky and wine.

It is also possible for them to arrange for items to be sold in one of their forthcoming sales, with sales going online and buyers worldwide.

For larger items, the team say they will make house calls on Sunday, and Monday, August 12 and 13.
