Missing walker found

A 48-year-old man has been found safe following a major search of the coastline in Orphir last night.

The man’s exact condition is not yet known, but he was attended to by paramedics.

The alarm was raised with police around 6pm when the man was reported missing while walking along a section of the Orphir coast at Scapa Flow.

Shetland Coastguard tasked their helicopter to search alongside shore-based teams and the Longhope and Stromness lifeboats.
