Public meeting on World Heritage Site management plan
A public consultation session takes place in Stenness this evening as as part of the development of a five-year management plan for The Heart of Neolithic Orkney World Heritage Site.
The workshop will be held on Thursday, March 21, at the Standing Stones Hotel, Stenness, from 7pm until 9.30pm.
The Heart of Neolithic Orkney is one of the most important Neolithic landscapes in western Europe and consists of the chambered tomb of Maeshowe, the Stones of Stenness, the Barnhouse Stone, the Watchstone, the Ring of Brodgar, and Skara Brae.
The results of the workshop will inform the full draft plan, which will be available for public consultation later in 2013.
