NHS Orkney launches Recognition Awards scheme

NHS Orkney is launching its first “Recognition Awards”, for its staff and volunteers, and is inviting the public to join in and make their nominations.

There are seven Fit2 Award categories for staff – Health & Wellbeing, Improving Patient Access, Partnership in Practice, Innovation in Healthcare, Effective Communication, Health and Safety, and Team of the year − plus Volunteer of the Year.  

There will be a ninth category – the Chairman’s award − which will be chosen from the winners of the above categories.

The deadline for entries is Friday, October 19, with the finalists announced on October 26. The awards ceremony is due to take place on the evening of November 1.
