NHS Orkney to take action after critical report

The board of NHS Orkney has endorsed 20 recommendations made in a critical report on working relationships and staffing levels at the health authority.

The external report was commissioned after serious concerns were raised by a member of staff about the relationship between senior management and clinicians.

After receiving the board’s backing, chief executive Cathie Cowan said NHS Orkney would now use the report and recommendations to address the concerns raised.
