Orkney add to medal tally at Island Games

Orkney have added to their medal haul at the NatWest Island Games in Jersey this afternoon as Donald Sinclair and Robert Spence claimed another bronze, this time in the NSRA 100 yards prone rifle event. This means that Orkney have now won four medals at the Island Games, two silvers and two bronzes.

This is the second time Donald and Robert have won bronze at the Games, previously securing a bronze in the ISSF 50m prone smallbore rifle event. The two silvers were claimed by Thora Cant in the women’s javelin event and Stewart Stanger in the FITA archery men’s compound. Stewart narrowly missed out on gold by four points while Thora led for much of the javelin event before being pipped at the post for gold.
