Orkney Brewery triumphs in Food and Drink Awards
The Orkney Brewery had a successful evening at the Scottish Food and Drink Awards held in Edinburgh yesterday.
The Quoyloo based firm claimed the top prize in the drinks category for its Dark Island Reserve, fighting off competition from Get Juiced’s fresh pink grapefruit juice and a drink produced by Cuddybridge Apple Juice.
Norman Sinclair, representing the company, picked up the award from Andrew Kenny, of the category sponsors Asda, and host of the event, Hardeep Singh Kohli.
The awards, run jointly by Scotland Food and Drink and the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society, are judged by a panel comprising industry experts, journalists and marketers.
