Orkney victory in hockey inter-county

After a narrow 1-0 defeat in the mixed hockey clash earlier, Orkney’s senior hockey side levelled the score on today’s intercounty with a 4-1 win over their Shetland counterparts.

A first half brace from Anna Johnstone, making her senior intercounty debut, and two second half goals from Claire Irvine secured the 11th consecutive Lady Hamilton Cup victory for the hosts.

The football clash for the Milne Cup kicks off next, at 4pm.
