Police appeal for information

Kirkwall police are appealing for information following a report of “bad driving” on Thursday, August 30.

According to a police spokesman, around 3.15pm on Thursdsay, a car is alleged to have overtaken and tractor towing a trailer on the road between Kirkwall and Finstown. The manoeuvre, said police, saw the car enter the path of an oncoming vehicle but a collision was narrowly avoided.

Meanwhile, about 11.40am on Saturday, an incident involving two males took place outside Kairds in Kirkwall’s Albert Street.
