P&R committee consider bus contract tenders

Orkney Island Council’s policy and resources committee met, in private, yesterday to consider tenders for public and school bus contracts that will run for the next five years.

A spokesman for the council said today that the committee’s recommendations will now be considered at a special meeting of the Full Council next Wednesday, September 17.

The contracts are due to come into effect in January 2015.
