Rally pulls the crowds

After flocking to the County Show on Saturday, the crowds moved to the site of Orkney Auction Mart on Sunday for the 29th Vintage Rally, organised by the Orkney Vintage Club.

Club chairman George Simpson said that the day had been a great success, with a huge number of exhibits on show, both inside and outside the mart. Vintage cars, tractors and motorcycles were on display as well as various other farm implements and engines.

Ford owners from Orkney and further afield took the opportunity to mark the centenary of W. R. Tullock and Ford by displaying their vehicles.

Tullock’s themselves also had a large stand at the rally, complete with a Ford rally car.
