Road at Finstown reopens

A car was destroyed by fire this morning on the main Kirkwall to Stromness road at Finstown.

A fire crew from Kirkwall extinguished the blaze, in which no one was hurt.

The road at Finstown was closed for a time, while the fire crew dealt with the fire, although it has since been reopened.

A spokeswoman from the Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service said there were no suspicious circumstances.
