Road closed following road accident

A section of the road on the Kirkwall side of Finstown was closed on Thursday afternoon following a one-vehicle road traffic accident.

According to police, the collision happened shortly after 4pm, just outside Atlantis Lodges on the A965 Finstown to Kirkwall road.

The three occupants of the vehicle were treated for their injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening.

The road remained closed until 9pm to allow emergency services access and recovery of the vehicle.
