Serco holding public events in Orkney

The public can find out more about Serco’s plans for the Northern Isles ferry service at two events in Orkney next week.

The events will take place at

6.30pm, June 12, St Magnus Centre, Palace Road, Kirkwall
6.30pm, June 13, Stromness Community Centre, Church Road, Stromness

Jonathan Riley, project director at Serco NorthLink Ferries said: “We recognise the essential role this service provides for many island communities and businesses and delivering a high level of quality and reliability to our customers is a key priority for Serco.

“Serco is committed to engaging positively with communities in Orkney and we look forward to meeting with the local people and businesses to further explain our plans for the service and answer any questions.”

Serco is also holding a series of meetings for interested stakeholders, including representatives of the tourism industry, freight customers and the business community.
