Silver award for Orkney Blast

The Swannay Brewery’s Orkney Blast has won a silver medal at the Japan Asia Beer Cup held in Tokyo.

Rob Hill, from the brewery, said: “Getting the beer out there was a mad rush but has proved to well worth the effort. Lewis [Hill] will be heading out to the awards ceremony in Tokyo later in the year.”

Rob added: “We have had two importers contact us with a keen interest in us supplying containers of the entire range into Japan. It will be exciting for us to launch in a totally new market place.”
