South Ronaldsay and Stromness secure semi-final spots
South Ronaldsay and Stromness have progressed to the semi-finals of The Orcadian Parish Cup, after their respective quarter-final second-leg ties against Firth and Birsay today.
South Ronaldsay won 4-3 in Firth to go through on away goals, while Stromness proceed despite losing 3-2 to Birsay at the Market Green, winning 8-5 on aggregate.
Tomorrow will see the other two quarter-final ties reach their conclusion, with Westray hosting Holm at 1pm. The island side were defeated 3-1 at the Rockworks in the first leg.
The final last-eight tie of the weekend is due to kick off at 3pm, with Sandwick heading to the Bignold Park to take on St Ola. The West Mainland outfit hold a 2-1 advantage over the holders, following their midweek first-leg win in Dounby.
The draw for the semi-finals of the Parish Cup is due to be made live on BBC Radio Orkney on Monday morning.
