Stromness roadworks

Orkney Islands Council has announced that a section of John Street in Stromness will be closed to traffic from 8am today, Tuesday,  to allow for work to take place as part of the Pierhead Regeneration Project.

Pedestrians will still be able to use the section of the street involved.

The traffic restrictions are expected to be lifted at 4pm on Friday, a council spokesman added.
